New Part Inspection

Updated: Apr 2, 2020

We've had projects come in that had been done elsewhere and the installer did just about everything right. They replaced the stock parts with quality components. But, one thing that is often overlooked, is checking to make sure the new parts were positioned and/or working properly before installation. Just because they are new doesn't always mean they are working or setup properly. Example: Motorcycle comes in with low oil pressure. We found the blow-off valve to be stuck open slightly in a new cam plate. Who knows how long these parts sit in a warehouse prior to being shipped to you, and what was the environment? Most parts are tested before leaving the manufacturing facility, but even the manufacturer will tell you to test or measure before installing. Here's a video of testing a new cam plate, and the test shows it to be working properly. We do it the right way. Rollin' Thunder Dyno
